According to the flights search engine skyscanner.net, among the 25 favourite destinations of users from Spain only two are in the Americas: Buenos Aires and New York.

In that order. Argentina’s capital city shows up in position 19 and USA’s (cultural) capital is 22nd. The top five of Spaniards is: London, Manchester, Barcelona, Madrid and Paris.

Skyscanner data is consistent with statistics from Buenos Aires’ Ente de Turismo that confirm that Spain is the main European emissive market for the city’s tourism.

In the last post it was commented how Buenos Aires is still among the ten most voted cities for travellers by readers of the magazine Travel + Leisure. A never ending fashion is no longer a fashion.
